Dear everybody!

Life is now settleing down after a very hectic period for our family. Work has been demanding and of course we have moved to Eskeager number 8 in Gentofte, a suburb ~5 km from downtown Copenhagen. Let's get on with the pictures!

The first night in our new house. Ingrid is standing in her room with a collection of teachers pictures from her new school, Munkegaards Skolen. I wonder what old Peter Rabbit is thinking of all this...?

A couple of weeks later we have sort of moved in. In the mornings there's alot of sunshine coming in through the kitchen windows, on through the big hole we made in the kitchen wall and into the living room where Peter is in the process of waking up.

Birthday for Ingrid. Notice the nice 70's era tiles in the background. Last week we painted them white.

Signe's brother & family lives nearby. Here Emil has dropped in for dinner along with their son, Robert.

Very nearby we have a big wet-land area with a rich bird-life. Here a swan is taking measure of the kids.

Playground next to 'the swamp'. No worries, though; we don't have alligators in Denmark.

A few days after Ingrid's birthday party for her new class we had the whole family over for yet another celebration. Here Merete is posing with the kids. If you think Ida looks a bit sick, she was!

When Signe was a kid she had a couple of pet rodents. She had promised the kids that when we moved to a bigger place they could have some too. That's why Signes parents came to Ingrids b-day party with two such creatures; a guinea pig and a rabbit. Here's Peter posing with his rodent, 'Put':

..and here's Ingrid with 'Mimre':

Peter will attend the preschool in central Copenhagen this season through, after that he'll begin in the same local school as Ingrid. In the picture below Peter has a friend from preschool home to play. They are making fun of each others faces which are messed up with chocolate.

Down at the swamp there's a blown down tree which is great for climbing.

We've had tons of kids home to play in the past week. Here Ingrid is making pizzas with a friend from her new class, Viola, and a friend from her old class, Molly:

Snack time for the rodents. Ain't they cute? Little monsters, actually. The rabbit sometimes attacks the ginneapig so Signe's dad built a special extension of their pen where only the smaller rodent can get in. We call it 'beskyttelsesrummet' ('the bombshelter').

Peter checking out one of the apple trees in the countryside. He's really into tree climbing these days.

Finally some pictures from around the house. Here's the basement:

...living room window to garden:

...Peters room (btw: just a bit smaller than our old living room):

...Ingrids room:

...and from the backyard side ('bombshelter' pen extension just visible to the lower right):

That's all for now. We miss you!!!

Love - Signe, Mikael, Ingrid and Peter
